just when I thought I was through with new york I get offered an internship witha production of Damn Yankees and they rehearse in new york. I said yes. I had to. the people seemed really cool and they are paying me a big enough stipend I will at least not be losing money by doing this. And the family I babysat for in NYC said if I would keep working for them they would pay me my normal amount AND reimburse me for train fare so maybe I could try to fit in some babysitting when I’m already there for rehearsal…
Plus, they said it’s just three days a week up until tech…which means it would be super easy for me to also do the development/outreach internship I was offered at this opera company because they just want a two day a week commitment. The opera company even said they are flexible on that because a lot of the research/writing/calls can be done remotely. Also, Damn Yankees closes on April 1st and I’m not leaving for my summerstock job until May 5th so that would give me over a month of just working with the opera company.
